  • Review service requests, troubleshoot complex electrical issues, and provide technical support to field technicians as needed.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, facility managers, property managers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to grow service revenue through new business development, existing customer relationships, service agreements, and additional service opportunities.
  • Prepare and review service estimates, proposals, labor requirements, and material costs to support accurate pricing and profitability.
  • Monitor service performance, labor productivity, job costs, and departmental financial results.
  • Ensure service work is completed in accordance with NEC requirements, applicable local codes, company standards, and OSHA safety regulations.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance programs and identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce customer downtime.
  • Collaborate with dispatch, project managers, accounting, and other departments to resolve service issues and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Manage customer concerns, service escalations, and warranty issues professionally and effectively.
  • Ensure service documentation, work orders, reports, and related records are completed accurately and on time.
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, training, and retention of qualified electrical service personnel.
  • Monitor tools, equipment, vehicles, and material inventory to ensure technicians have the resources needed to perform their work safely and efficiently.
  • Respond to urgent service needs and provide after-hours support when required.
  • Identify opportunities to improve service processes, technician productivity, customer satisfaction, and departmental profitability.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree, technical education, or related training preferred.
  • Journeyman Electrician license preferred; Master Electrician license preferred where applicable to the role and jurisdiction.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial or light industrial electrical service, maintenance, or repair.

  • Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems, troubleshooting methods, NEC requirements, and electrical safety standards.
  • Experience coordinating service calls, scheduling technicians, managing work orders, and prioritizing service requests.
  • Understanding of service estimating, labor and material costs, job profitability, and service department financial performance.
  • Proven ability to develop customer relationships, address service concerns, and identify opportunities for business growth.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced service environment.
  • Proficiency with service management software, work order systems, and Microsoft Office applications preferred.
