The Opportunity

Brunswick Group is seeking a director with strong financial communications expertise and deep experience advising clients in the Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) sector. This individual will play a significant role in delivering high-impact strategic advice to senior executives and boards, while supporting the growth of our TMT and financial communications practices.

Directors at Brunswick are trusted advisers, working in close partnership with clients to navigate critical issues, shape reputation, and deliver clear and compelling communications to a wide range of stakeholders, including investors, media, regulators, and employees.

About the Role

  • Serve as a senior counsellor to clients, providing strategic financial communications advice on capital markets activity, financial results, M&A, shareholder activism, and other complex financial situations.
  • Lead day-to-day client engagement for TMT sector accounts, drawing on deep knowledge of industry trends, established networks in the sector, and understanding of investor priorities and regulatory considerations.
  • Manage teams to deliver high-quality, insight-driven work across financial, corporate, and crisis communications mandates.
  • Build trusted relationships with CEOs, CFOs, IR leads, and senior communications executives.
  • Drive new business opportunities by identifying growth areas, contributing to pitches, and deepening relationships within the TMT sector.
  • Mentor and develop junior colleagues, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
  • Contribute thought leadership on emerging issues affecting the TMT industry.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven track record (10+ years) of advising senior executives on financial communications, investor relations, or capital markets engagement.
  • Strong background in TMT, with direct experience advising companies in technology, media, or telecommunications.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects under pressure and deliver clear, strategic, and actionable advice.
  • Wide ranging and dynamic network across the industry, media and sector participants
  • Exceptional writing, presentation, and analytical skills.
  • Deep understanding of the investor landscape, equity markets, and financial disclosure requirements.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and contribute to business development.
  • Collaborative leadership style, with experience developing and managing diverse teams.
