About the role

About Discern

Discern is a modern registered agent and entity management solution provider. As a fast growing venture-backed company, we develop compliance technology that monitors entity status, standing, and filing requirements across all US jurisdictions.

The Team You’ll Work With

We are an engaged team with ambitious goals. In this role, you will report directly to the Chief Revenue Officer and collaborate closely with the go-to-market team.

Our group is highly collaborative, bringing extensive experience from both corporate and tech startup environments.

What We're Looking For

Someone who can completely run an events strategy (our largest marketing budget line item) for third party conferences, Discern-sponsored events, dinners, etc, and can ideally be another voice for Discern in public.

Someone who is passionate about joining a growing technology company that requires an interest in the nitty gritty of products and customer problems.

Your Impact at Discern

  • You will take over an existing 2027 events calendar, and work with the Chief Revenue Officer and Director of Growth to expand that calendar.
  • You will be directly responsible for strategizing how we can meet more potential customers and partners through a combination of in-person events, organic social channels, and any other tangential channel that makes sense.
  • Ideally, you will be able to expand the impact of events beyond just executing them - this role has the clear potential and expectation to expand to a wider brand marketing role.
  • You will initially report directly to the CRO.

About You

  • Excited to be part of growing Discern’s marketing function from the ground up.
  • You are skilled at strategizing, organizing, and executing a filled events calendar, working in collaboration with our sales team.
  • You are highly customer-focused, would enjoy getting to know our customers, and comfortable talking with prospects and partners about the value of a service.
  • You are a self-starter who likes to test new ideas, follow them through to their conclusion, and report on their efficacy.
  • You have an eye for messaging, and can clearly communicate a value proposition through a variety of mediums.
  • You’re comfortable hosting events either virtual or in person.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary ranging from $135,000 to $165,000 per year
  • Equity
  • Health insurance with 100% of the premium covered
  • 20 days of PTO with roll-over, plus 13 federal holidays
