About the role

The Role

As a member of the eCommerce team, the Digital Marketing Specialist will support paid media activations for RISE Dispensaries. You’ll write the briefs, build the reports, and keep campaigns across programmatic (display, native, CTV, and OLV), paid social, and paid search moving from creative ideation and development to launch and optimization. You’ll work closely with our Digital Marketing Manager, market leaders, creative team, agency partners, and compliance to turn market insights into campaigns that drive sales, all within the cannabis industry’s regulatory framework. Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive, collaborative approach are a must.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a programmatic subject matter expert, advising on best practices in buying strategies, creative, data integration, measurement, and optimizations to maximize campaign performance.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on campaign performance against KPIs such as revenue, ROAS, CPA, and CVR, using advanced Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, formulas) to build recurring reports and dashboards that turn data into clear insights, informing strategic decisions and campaign optimizations.
  • Build and maintain the campaign briefing document in Excel, partnering with the creative team to gather approved assets, then brief the agency on creative, timing, UTMs, and campaign details ahead of every launch, keeping everything accurate, compliant, and on deadline.
  • Write clear, compliance-informed creative briefs for ad assets and partner with creative teams through delivery.
  • Regularly attend market meetings and translate insights into campaign creative, targeting, messaging, and strategy.
  • Build and maintain relationships with digital media vendors and platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with cannabis industry regulations in all digital marketing activities.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor strategies, and digital marketing advancements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field is preferred but not required.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in digital marketing (agency environment preferred), with proven success managing paid social, paid search, and programmatic campaigns.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with a track record of producing accurate, error-free briefs, reports, and campaign materials.
  • Proficient with digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Google/Bing Search Ads, Meta/Instagram Ads, DSPs [StackAdapt], Mixpanel).
  • Strong analytical skills, with advanced Excel proficiency and experience in reporting and data analysis
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Experience and comfort leveraging AI tools to identify and create efficiencies in recurring role responsibilities including reporting, data analytics, and insight generation.
  • Takes initiative and adapts quickly in a fast-paced, evolving industry.

Additional Requirements

  • Must pass all required background checks
  • Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age

The pay range is competitive and based on experience, qualifications, and/or location of the role. Positions may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.
