About the role

GP at Hand is one of the UK's largest digitally enabled NHS general practices, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care through an innovative combination of digital consultations and face-to-face clinical services.

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and autonomous Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs) to join our established Digital Advanced Clinical Practitioner team. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of digitally enabled primary care, delivering safe, evidence-based clinical assessments and management through remote consultations to our diverse patient population.

As an ANP, you will manage a wide range of acute and chronic presentations, working independently within your scope of practice while collaborating closely with our multidisciplinary team of GPs, ACPs, nurses and allied health professionals. • You will be confident in seeing a wide range of patients.
  • You will be able to prescribe a wide range of medications across a number of different conditions and presentations.
  • You will be responsible for your own clinical portfolio and maintaining your own scope of practice.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Hold a Masters in Advanced Clinical Practice or equivalent advanced level qualification that evidences the 4 pillars of advanced practice.
  • Independent Nurse Prescriber.
  • Registered nurse with current NMC registration.
  • Minimum 2 years experience working as an autonomous ANP in Primary care.
  • Able to manage undifferentiated and complex patient presentations independently.
  • Competent in blood result interpretation and review of diagnostic investigations.
  • Knowledge of current NHS primary care pathways and national clinical guidance (NICE, CQC, GMC/NMC standards).
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding for children and adults.

Desirable

  • Experience using SystmOne.
  • Understanding of Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF), Enhanced Services and primary care contracts.
  • Experience conducting telephone and video consultations.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Salary: £55,000 to £60,000 pro rata
  • 5% employer pension contribution for 5% employee contribution
  • Life Insurance 4x annual base salary
  • Wellbeing programs
  • Eye care voucher reimbursement (up to £20)
  • Enhanced Maternity, Paternity and Adoption pay
  • Up to £80 per calendar year towards noise cancelling headphones

We want to make sure our interview process is fully accessible to everyone. Please let us know if you require any reasonable adjustments or physical accommodations for your visit to our office.

Please note that offers of employment are subject to receipt of satisfactory references and a enhanced DBS check.
