About the Role

When an ATS, staffing CRM, or industry software company partners with Onboarded, signing is the starting line. From there, the partner's teams need to learn to sell and launch us, the first customers need to go live, and product gaps need to close fast enough that momentum holds once we step back. We're looking for someone to own that work end to end, bringing dedicated focus to turning each signed partnership into live customers and a growing book of business.

You'll own up to three partner ecosystems from signing to steady state. Sales opens the ecosystem and closes the partnership. Sometimes our engineers build what the partnership needs, and sometimes the partner's engineers build it on top of Onboarded. Customer Engineering supports partners and their customers once they're live. You sit in the middle as the architect and success owner for each ecosystem, accountable for how fast partner customers go live and how much of the work the partner can run on its own. You will operate autonomously and answer for the results.

Onboarded is the onboarding and compliance engine for high-volume and complex hiring. The platforms that serve staffing firms and employers are a core part of how we grow, because one partnership can bring us many customers. Deployment Strategist is a new role here, and the first people in the seat will write the playbook for how we grow every ecosystem we sign.

We're casting a wide net. Maybe you've held this title at an AI or data company. Maybe you've grown a partner channel, run solutions for an integration program, led implementations at a software company, or founded something. What matters is that you think like a product owner, can design how systems fit together, earn trust with engineers and partner executives alike, and use AI as a force multiplier.

What You'll Do

  • Own each ecosystem from signing to steady state. Join partnership deals before they close to plan who sells, implements, and supports. After signing, you drive partner customers live, ecosystem ARR, and the share of implementations the partner runs without us.
  • Teach partners to sell, launch, and support Onboarded. Train the partner's sales, customer success, and implementation teams, and build the enablement kits and launch playbooks they rely on. Work with Customer Engineering to get the partner's front-line support certified.
  • Launch the first partner customers, then make yourself unnecessary. Stay close on early go-lives, find what breaks, and turn every fix into a repeatable step. Each launch should make the next one faster and need less of you. Once the partner runs most implementations on its own, you hand the ecosystem to Customer Engineering and move to the next one.
  • Architect how each partnership fits together. Decide what gets built, why, and who builds it: our engineers, the partner's, or both. Design the integration with the partner's engineering team, including how their product calls Onboarded's REST API and MCP surfaces, how data moves between systems, and where each step of the workflow lives. Review their design before they build, and catch what will break at scale.
  • Turn partner requests into clear specs. Write the requirements and user stories that tell any engineer, ours or theirs, what they're building, for which customers, and how it fits Onboarded's broader product. Prioritize hard, and be the first person to test what ships.
  • Keep a written point of view on every ecosystem. At any moment you can answer who the ideal customer is, why the partner's customers aren't using us yet, and whether the gap is awareness, positioning, product fit, integrations, implementation, or pricing. You know the biggest constraint today and what it takes to reach the next phase, and you recommend whether we invest more, hold steady, or stop.

What We're Looking For

  • A product thinker first. You can take "we just have to have it" from a partner, figure out what they actually need, and come back with a crisp requirement or a clear no. You care more about building the right thing than saying yes to the next ask.
  • Experience growing something other people sell. 4+ years in partner solutions, solutions architecture, solutions engineering, product, or implementation leadership at a software company, or 2+ years in a builder or founder seat at a startup. You've enabled a channel, launched an integration program, or grown adoption inside someone else's customer base.
  • AI-first operator. You use AI tools as a force multiplier for enablement content, requirements, adoption analysis, prototyping, and everything in between. This is non-negotiable.
  • Real solution architecture skills. You can design an integration end to end: APIs, webhooks, authentication, data models, and how records stay in sync across systems. You've sat across from another company's engineering team, walked them through how to build on a product, and reviewed their design with a critical eye. You don't need to write production code, but you do need to whiteboard the system and spot the failure points before anyone builds. Experience as a solutions or partner architect is a strong signal.
  • A teacher who measures by what others can do. You've trained another company's sales or implementation team and know the difference between a great training session and a team that can run it without you.
  • Comfortable in every room. You can hold a strategy conversation with a partner's product and partnerships leaders in the morning, then work through a stuck launch with their implementation team in the afternoon.
  • Experience in staffing, ATS or HRIS software, or employment compliance (I-9, E-Verify, background checks, tax forms) is a strong signal but not required. Learning velocity and an AI-first approach to closing the gap count just as much.

This role is not a fit for someone who wants a support queue to work through or a pure quota-carrying sales seat. It is for builders who want to own an outcome, shape their own week around it, and leave every ecosystem able to grow without them.

Why This Role

  • You will own a number, not a queue. Your week starts with what your ecosystems need to grow. Your scoreboard is customers live and ecosystem revenue, and you decide how to move it.
  • You will write the playbook for a new role. You'll shape how Onboarded grows every partnership we sign, with a direct line to our founders, Product, Engineering, and partner executives.
  • There is a clear growth path. As we add ecosystems, this role can grow into leading a team of Deployment Strategists, owning ecosystem strategy, or moving into product leadership.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and equity in a fast-growing startup, plus variable pay tied to the growth of the ecosystems you own
  • Health, dental, vision, and retirement benefits
  • Remote-first culture with optional in-person collaboration
  • A chance to build the motion that grows every partner ecosystem we sign
