About the role

About DayDream

DayDream helps dentists serve their patients. We support dental offices behind the scenes with clarity, consistency, and care so that providers can focus on what matters most. We're a fast-growing, remote-first team that believes in doing good work and being good to each other while we do it.

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Claim Specialist to help our clients navigate insurance with confidence. This role is critical to the claim lifecycle from submission to resolution and plays a key part in shaping the tools we use every day.

As a Claim Specialist at DayDream, you won’t just process claims. You’ll help design the future of how we do it by working closely with our software engineering team to fine-tune internal tools and make our platform even better.

What You'll Do

  • Submit claims accurately and completely with all required attachments and documentation
  • Post insurance payments with speed and accuracy in accordance with the received EOB
  • Follow up on outstanding claims to reduce claim aging
  • Handle denials and appeals professionally and efficiently, interpreting EOBs and rejection codes
  • Collaborate with our software engineering team to provide feedback and ideas that improve our internal tools
  • Work cross-functionally with teammates in billing, operations, and client success to deliver excellent service

What You'll Bring

  • 8+ years of experience in dental revenue cycle management (RCM), especially claims processing
  • Deep familiarity with dental billing software and comfort with tools like Google Workspace, Slack and remote connection softwares
  • Clear, professional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organization and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail
  • A collaborative mindset and an interest in improving internal systems and workflows
  • A bachelor's degree is nice to have, but not required

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive hourly pay
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance some with plan option premiums 100% covered for employees
  • Medical and dependent care FSA options
  • PTO and sick time accrue from day one
  • 9 paid holidays annually
  • Company-provided laptop

We believe great work happens when people feel supported and heard. If you care about doing things well, want to help build something meaningful, and thrive in a remote environment, we’d love to meet you.
