We are seeking a Datacenter Site Operations Lead to support a large-scale infrastructure and cloud operations environment. This role will be responsible for operational governance, production readiness, infrastructure visibility, compliance support, and cross-functional coordination across datacenter operations.

The ideal candidate will bring a blend of datacenter operational expertise, infrastructure governance experience, and strong stakeholder management skills. This individual will help ensure datacenter environments transition successfully from deployment into production operations while maintaining operational excellence, scalability, and compliance standards.

Responsibilities -

  • Manage and maintain visibility across datacenter infrastructure, including power, cooling, rack utilization, capacity, and operational health.
  • Establish and track operational KPIs and metrics to measure datacenter readiness, performance, and reliability.
  • Monitor infrastructure capacity allocations and ensure accurate lifecycle management and reporting.
  • Maintain operational discipline across systems of record and infrastructure documentation. Operational Readiness & Production Transition
  • Lead operational acceptance and production handoff activities for newly deployed datacenter environments.
  • Validate operational readiness criteria alongside engineering, build, and operations teams.
  • Ensure monitoring, documentation, processes, ownership models, and capacity controls are established prior to operational acceptance.
  • Identify readiness gaps and drive remediation efforts before systems enter production. Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Serve as a key liaison between infrastructure, operations, engineering, platform, facilities, and reliability teams.
  • Coordinate operational escalations, issue resolution efforts, and dependency management activities.
  • Communicate operational health, risks, and constraints to technical teams and leadership stakeholders.
  • Translate complex infrastructure issues into actionable business and operational recommendations. Governance, Compliance & Process Improvement
  • Audit operational governance processes and maintain infrastructure data accuracy.
  • Develop and improve SOPs, operational standards, readiness processes, and reporting methodologies.
  • Support compliance initiatives and audit readiness activities.
  • Establish controls that ensure quality, completeness, and consistency of infrastructure asset and operational data. Continuous Improvement
  • Drive initiatives focused on operational excellence, monitoring improvements, and datacenter process optimization.
  • Lead corrective actions that improve reliability, scalability, and operational maturity.
  • Capture lessons learned and implement improvements across future deployments and operational transitions.
  • Develop repeatable operational frameworks and standards that support global growth. Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Datacenter Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience supporting enterprise datacenter, cloud infrastructure, hyperscale environments, or high-density compute operations.
  • Strong understanding of datacenter infrastructure including:
  • Power systems
  • Cooling systems
  • Capacity management
  • Rack and space utilization
  • Infrastructure monitoring
  • Operational readiness processes
  • Experience coordinating across engineering, facilities, operations, reliability, and infrastructure organizations.
  • Experience developing and managing operational KPIs, governance processes, and systems of record.
  • Working knowledge of DCIM platforms, datacenter asset management, and infrastructure data management practices.
  • Experience supporting operational acceptance, production handoff, compliance, and audit readiness programs.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications -

  • Experience supporting hyperscale or large-scale cloud infrastructure environments.
  • Strong understanding of datacenter operational governance and production operations models.
  • Experience supporting compliance and infrastructure audit frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify operational risks and drive resolution across multiple teams.
  • Experience building scalable operational processes and standards within rapidly growing environments.
  • Ability to influence technical and business stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Strong systems-thinking approach with a focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement. Additional Information
  • This position works closely with infrastructure engineering, site operations, facilities, reliability engineering, and platform teams.
  • The environment is fast-paced and supports large-scale cloud and compute infrastructure operations.
