About the role

About the Role

iCapital is seeking a detail-oriented and technically capable Associate to join the Data Feed Operations team within Data Solutions. This role sits at the intersection of investment operations, data analysis, and technical data management, with a focus on supporting the quality and reliability of post-trade investment data. This hands-on, highly collaborative role partners across technical and business teams to solve complex data challenges and support scalable data operations within a fast-moving financial technology environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor inbound and outbound data feeds, APIs, file-based integrations, processing results, validations, deliveries, and service exceptions.
  • Reconcile investment positions, transactions, valuations, cash activity, and related reporting data across source systems and downstream outputs.
  • Investigate data-quality exceptions and feed breaks, determine root cause, document findings, and coordinate remediation with internal and external partners.
  • Certify the completeness and accuracy of reporting data before publication, migration acceptance, or client and partner delivery.
  • Use SQL to analyze relational data, validate populations, trace lineage, identify anomalies, and produce repeatable reconciliation evidence.
  • Use analytical and automation tools to develop controls, transform and compare data sets, reduce manual analysis, and support scalable monitoring and reconciliation workflows.
  • Document feed specifications, source-to-target mappings, business rules, procedures, controls, issue histories, and certification evidence.
  • Translate operational issues and recurring break patterns into actionable requirements for the Product and Engineering teams.
  • Participate in testing and certification for new feeds, feed changes and platform migrations.
  • Provide clear status updates and respond to client, partner, and internal stakeholder questions regarding feed health, data quality, and issue resolution.
  • Help define and track operational measures such as feed timeliness, successful delivery, break recurrence, resolution time, certification status, and data adoption.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in data operations, investment operations, data analysis, financial technology, performance reporting, fund administration, or in a related field
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience analyzing data in relational databases, including cloud data platforms such as Snowflake or PostgreSQL
  • Experience working with APIs, file-based integrations, external data-provider workflows, ETL or ELT processes, data pipelines, or orchestration workflows
  • Experience monitoring data feeds, investigating exceptions, reconciling data, and documenting mappings or business rules
  • Experience with investment positions, transactions, valuations, capital activity, partner capital account data, or general-ledger data
  • Working knowledge of alternative investments, private markets, wealth management, investment performance reporting, or fund accounting
  • Python experience for data analysis, validation, automation, or reconciliation
  • Experience supporting data migrations, source-system conversions, or implementation testing in a controlled production environment
  • Strong analytical judgment and a structured approach to root-cause analysis and problem solving
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across business and technical teams, take ownership of issues through resolution, and contribute as a collaborative team member
