We aim to enable teachers to personalise learning at scale with a range of powerful learning, assessment, and insights tools, helping them and their students reach their full potential. As an EPeep, you’ll work on projects that have a real impact on students' lives and have the freedom, support and resources you need to develop your skills and grow your career.

We’re looking for 2x Customer Support Specialists to join our Essential Assessment (EA) team for our busy 2027 enrolment season.

Essential Assessment is a leading primary numeracy and literacy assessment platform used by more than 2,800 schools across Australia. You’ll play an important role in helping educators and school administrators prepare for the new school year by providing friendly, efficient and reliable support.

From assisting with student enrolments and annual rollovers to answering invoicing queries, you’ll help schools navigate the platform and resolve their questions with confidence. If you’re organised, tech savvy, enjoy helping people and have an interest in education, we’d love to hear from you!

About the role

  • Location: Our office is located in WeWork, next to Southern Cross Station in Melbourne CBD. This is a fully on site role, with no work from home or hybrid arrangements available
  • Duration: 5 week temporary contract, from Monday 18th January to Friday 19th February 2027
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 3:00 pm

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain practical experience in education technology and customer support, particularly if you’re studying education or have previous experience working in a school environment.

What you will do

  • Support educators and school administrators: Respond to customer enquiries via phone and email, providing friendly, professional and timely assistance throughout the 2027 enrolment season
  • Assist with student enrolments and rollovers: Guide schools through enrolling students and completing their 2026 - 2027 student rollover process within the Essential Assessment platform
  • Manage invoicing enquiries: Respond to invoice questions and process or triage amendment requests accurately and efficiently
  • Resolve customer queries: Investigate issues, provide clear guidance and escalate more complex enquiries to the appropriate internal teams when needed
  • Maintain accurate records: Ensure customer information, requests and data are handled carefully, with strong attention to detail

About you

You’re a people focused problem solver who enjoys helping others and can stay organised and professional in a busy environment. You’re comfortable learning new systems, handling enquiries and ensuring customers receive a positive experience.

You’ll ideally bring

  • Strong communication skills: Clear, friendly written and verbal communication, with the confidence to speak with customers over the phone and build rapport quickly
  • A calm, professional approach: The ability to manage competing requests, remain patient under pressure and handle customer concerns constructively
  • Excellent attention to detail: Accurate data entry skills and confidence working with spreadsheets, including Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
  • Confidence with technology: The ability to learn new software, navigate online platforms and quickly pick up new processes
  • A customer first mindset: A proactive, helpful approach and a genuine commitment to resolving enquiries efficiently
  • An interest in education: An interest in primary education, literacy and numeracy, or education technology (EdTech) would be highly regarded

Teaching or school experience would be a real advantage, but not required. You might be studying towards a teaching qualification, completing an education related degree, have experience working in a classroom or have previously supported teachers and students. You’ll understand the demands educators face and enjoy helping schools prepare for a successful start to the year.
