About the role

Here’s why this role matters to us

At Microblink, we build technology that makes identity verification faster, smarter, and more secure. But even the best technology sometimes needs a human touch.

We're looking for a Customer Support Specialist - Student to join our team in Zagreb and help make sure our customers get the support they need.

You'll be one of the first points of contact for customers, helping them navigate questions, troubleshoot issues, and find the right solutions. You won't need to know all the answers on day one, but you should be curious enough to find them.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys technology, communicates clearly, and wants to gain hands-on experience in a global tech company.

A little bit about us

Microblink is an AI company specializing in computer vision and identity fraud detection. We create unique products and tools designed to make the future of digital identity a secure "no-fake-zone." Our expertise includes running efficient machine learning models directly on-device, enabling a uniquely seamless Identity Verification (IDV) experience. With teams across the US and Europe and main offices in New York and Zagreb, we touch hundreds of millions of users each year worldwide.

Here’s what you’ll do

  • Respond to customer questions and support requests through our standard channels (email, form, Slack).
  • Help customers troubleshoot issues and guide them toward solutions across all Microblink products.
  • Identify and escalate more complex technical questions to the appropriate teams.
  • Work closely with colleagues across Customer Success, Product, Engineering, and other teams to resolve issues.
  • Contribute to improving our support documentation, processes, and overall customer experience.
  • Learn about our products and gradually build the confidence to handle more complex requests independently.

You'll be successful in this role if you

  • You're currently enrolled as a student and eligible to work through a student contract in Croatia for at least one year.
  • You're available to work afternoon shifts from 14:00 to 22:00.
  • You have excellent written and spoken English.
  • You're comfortable using technology and curious about how things work.
  • You communicate clearly, patiently, and professionally, even when the answer isn't immediately obvious.
  • You're organized, reliable, and pay attention to details.
  • You enjoy solving problems and aren't afraid to ask questions.
  • You can work independently but know when it's time to involve the team.

An additional plus is if you

  • Ongoing studies in a technical field (FER, TVZ, FOI, or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in customer support, customer service, or a similar role.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems or customer support platforms.
  • A basic understanding of APIs, SDKs, or software products.
  • Familiarity with basic cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) and API services

What can you expect from us?

  • Hourly rate of 7.50 €.
  • Hybrid work set up, work from home or remote depending on your preference.
  • Hands-on experience working with real customers in a global technology company.
  • A supportive team that will help you learn and develop.
  • Exposure to modern technology and the way technical customer support works.
  • Opportunities to build your communication, problem-solving, and technical skills.
  • A chance to contribute, ask questions, and make a real impact from the start.

Sounds like something for you?

If you're curious about technology, and don't mind working while most of Zagreb is wrapping up its workday, we'd love to hear from you.
