About the role

Jenni Kayne is a California-based lifestyle brand that aims to empower an elevated approach to everyday living. Whether it's our edited style ethos or coveted interiors sensibility, we work hard to create a world that's inviting and intentional. From our stores across the country to our operations and corporate teams, we believe in the power of a workplace built on diversity and inclusion—where the varied voices and viewpoints of our community pave the way.

The Cross Dock Operations Manager runs day-to-day operations at our cross dock facility and fleet. This role oversees freight flow from receiving through outbound loading, manages our white glove delivery service, directs daily routing and dispatch, and owns quality standards across the operation. This role also partners cross-functionally with Jenni Kayne Marketing, Production, Buying and Planning, and Retail and Interior Design teams, and leads the labor and special projects behind store moves and openings. The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and comfortable making fast decisions when schedules change.

  • Monitor throughput, dwell time, and departure times; resolve bottlenecks in real time

White Glove Services

  • Manage white glove deliveries from scheduling through final placement, including appointment setting, inside delivery, assembly, and debris removal where applicable
  • Coordinate with customers and carriers on delivery windows and special handling requirements
  • Train and direct white glove crews on care of freight, damage prevention, and customer service standards
  • Ensure proof of delivery, signatures, photos, and customer sign-off are captured for every stop

Routing and Dispatch

  • Analyze route performance (miles, stops per route, on-time rate) and recommend improvements

Quality Management

  • Own quality standards for receiving, sorting, loading, and delivery
  • Conduct regular audits of dock processes, scan accuracy, load plans, and delivery documentation
  • Investigate damage, shortages, and customer complaints; document root causes and corrective actions
  • Track and report weekly on quality metrics such as damage rate, scan compliance, on-time delivery, and claims

Labor and Special Projects

  • Plan and manage labor for store moves, openings, and special projects, including staffing levels, schedules, and skill needs
  • Lead special projects from planning through execution, including timelines, budgets, and vendor coordination
  • Build and manage temporary labor and crews as needed for moves and openings
  • Document lessons learned and build repeatable playbooks for future moves and openings

People and Administration

  • Schedule, supervise, and coach dock associates, drivers, and white glove crews
