About the role

About the Firm

Bernstein Litowitz Berger & Grossmann LLP (BLB&G) is widely recognized worldwide as a leading law firm advising institutional investors on issues related to corporate governance, shareholder rights, and securities litigation. Our clients include the largest and most prominent public pension funds, banks, asset managers and insurance companies in the world.

Since its founding in 1983, BLB&G has built an international reputation for excellence and integrity and pioneered the use of the litigation process to achieve precedent-setting governance reforms. BLB&G has prosecuted many of the most high-profile frauds in history, recovering over $40 billion on behalf of investors. Working with its clients, BLB&G has also used securities and corporate governance litigation to achieve precedent-setting reforms that have increased market transparency and improved corporate business practices in groundbreaking ways. The firm is widely recognized by industry observers as a leader in the field, (“consistently achieving the highest returns for investors”—The National Law Journal; “the best advice in the field—Chambers USA; “one of the best bar none…impressive achievements and excellent reputation”—Benchmark Litigation), and the firm’s reputation for integrity and unmatched record of achievement has won praise from the bench, the respect of its adversaries, and the allegiance of its clients. Today, the firm has about 60 attorneys, 75 staff and over 50 staff attorneys.

About the Team and the Role

BLB&G is looking for an entrepreneurial Associate to join the firm’s Corporate Governance litigation practice. In this role you will represent investors and work towards the goal of achieving governance reforms at public companies which will in turn increase market transparency, hold wrongdoers accountable and protect the shareholder franchise.

Our Corporate Governance team has a strong track record of precedent-setting outcomes over the last two decades and has successfully combated unfair deals, created billions of dollars in increased shareholder value, addressed self-dealing and executive compensation issues in the boardroom and executive suite, and successfully challenged harassment and discrimination in the workplace, setting governance models for companies as they move forward.
