Who We Are Looking For

If you thrive in a fast-paced live control room, have a deep passion for audio, and know your way around a robotic camera system, this role was built for you. Advanced Systems Group LLC is looking for experienced Control Room Operators to join a high-performing team supporting one of the most exciting live streaming platforms in the industry. Every production run is a simultaneous live broadcast and on-demand capture across multiple studio environments, meaning no 2 days are exactly the same and the work you do matters every single time the cameras roll.

The ideal candidate is a well-rounded studio production operator who leads with live audio expertise and brings solid video and robotic camera operator experience to the table. You are equally comfortable at an audio console and a robotic camera control system; you keep calm when things get complicated, and you take pride in delivering broadcast-quality output without missing a beat.

This position is part of our Flex Workforce. As a Flex team member, you'll work on a project-to-project basis, supporting a variety of leading media and technology clients. Flex roles are ongoing and dynamic, work may vary in cadence, length, and scope depending on client needs. This setup offers flexibility, exposure to top-tier companies, and the chance to grow your skills across multiple exciting assignments.

Estimated schedule: Shift-based rotation including early mornings, evenings, weekends (Saturdays and Sundays), and public holidays as required. Between 20 and 40 hour workweeks. (Specific schedules will vary by project and client engagement.)

What You Will Be Doing

  • Operate a sound desk and robotic multi-camera system simultaneously, executing precise camera movements, preset recalls, and shot composition in real time to support high quality live and recorded production
  • Manage multi-zone studio audio including dedicated talent zones, audience zones, and broadcast faders simultaneously on the Yamaha QL1
  • Monitor and correct acoustic feedback in live talent environments including stage speaker configurations in high-density studio settings
  • Coordinate IEM signal chains for on-air talent during live-to-tape productions including fader ceiling management and pack-level coordination
  • Adapt your technical approach across multiple studio environments each presenting distinct acoustic conditions and production demands
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and uphold production quality for live and prerecorded streams
  • Support the workflow that transforms live events into on-demand assets
  • Act as the first point of escalation for production related issues, collaborating closely with engineering and wider teams
  • Ensure smooth execution of production runs including protocols, timings, and on the ground coordination
  • QC additional production content including scenic assets, original production, and remote content
  • Contribute to a team culture that values creativity, innovation, problem solving, and operational excellence

What You Bring

  • Professional experience in a live broadcast or studio control room environment operating across both audio and camera disciplines
  • Strong live audio mixing experience as a core technical competency including multi-zone live audio mixing, with hands-on console experience in a high frequency live production environment
  • Solid video and robotic camera operator experience with the ability to execute live camera movements, recall presets, and maintain shot composition during live productions
  • Experience in a high-frequency live streaming production environment with simultaneous live audience and broadcast output
  • Working knowledge of operating a networked audio ecosystem within a live production environment including digital audio consoles, audio over IP protocols, and broadcast control and routing systems
  • Clear understanding of production comms etiquette and control room protocols
  • The ability to multitask under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset with strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to the team around you
  • Yamaha QL1 Audio Mixing Console or comparable digital audio console
  • Dante Networked Audio Protocol
  • Cerebrum Broadcast Control and Routing System
  • Ross Carbonite/TouchDrive and EVS Control Panels
  • Mark Roberts Robotic Camera Control System (Sony FS7)
  • RTS Comms Panels
  • DPA Microphone Systems
  • In-Ear Monitor (IEM) Signal Chain Operation
  • Basic Mac OS X and Apple Computer experience

Nice to Have

  • Understanding of end to end streaming workflows
  • The ability to adapt quickly to streaming-native workflows if your background is rooted in traditional broadcast
  • Readiness to hit the ground running within a structured onboarding window with minimal ramp-up time
  • Experience operating across multiple disciplines simultaneously in a live control room environment
