As a Collections Officer, you'll join our insurance settlements team. You'll negotiate motor vehicle claim settlements directly with third-party insurers. You won't be chasing customers. You'll deal with insurance professionals who know the subject and use your negotiation skills to get the best result for each file while staying fully compliant.

What You'll Be Doing;

• Negotiate Settlements: Negotiate motor vehicle claim settlements with third-party insurers by phone and email, maximizing recovery on every file.
• Manage Your Files: Action emails, monitor tasks and keep your files moving, recognizing when a file is complex and needs extra attention.
• Communicate with Confidence: Handle inbound and outbound calls with insurers and write clear, professional emails using our approved templates.
• Stay Compliant: Follow company policy and procedures, client requirements and legislation on every file. Your work is audited to keep quality high.
• Deliver Results: Contribute directly to team recovery results, measured on what you collect for the business.

What You'll Bring;

• Insurance Knowledge: Experience in insurance, ideally motor vehicle claims. You'll understand insurer terminology and won't miss what matters in a negotiation.
• Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to secure settlements with professional counterparts.
• Communication: Clear, professional verbal and written communication. Much of the work with insurers happens over email.
• Compliance Focus: A process-driven approach. You follow procedures, ask questions when you're unsure and own your results.
• Resilience & Drive: A positive, motivated, results-driven attitude, and the ability to build quick rapport and bounce back after a tough conversation.
