About the role

What your day could look like

You'll play a vital role in supporting adults to achieve their recovery goals while remaining connected to their community. From providing specialist mental health care to partnering with multidisciplinary teams and local services, you'll contribute to safer, stronger and more positive outcomes.

Every day, you'll contribute by:

  • Delivering person-centred mental health care and case management that supports recovery, wellbeing and independence.
  • Building trusted partnerships with consumers, families and service providers to coordinate effective care and achieve meaningful outcomes.
  • Using advanced clinical judgement to assess needs, manage risk and guide evidence-based decisions in complex situations.
  • Leading quality improvement, mentoring colleagues and contributing to a culture of learning, safety and continuous growth.

Let's talk about you!

You're someone who combines clinical expertise with genuine compassion. You stay calm when situations are complex, build strong relationships through trust and respect, and bring the confidence to make sound decisions. You'll take pride in helping individuals achieve their recovery goals while influencing positive outcomes across the broader mental health service. You're not just here to provide care, you're here to create lasting impact within a community that values connection, dignity and support.

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:

  • Current registration, or eligibility for registration, as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Experience delivering community-based mental health care, including assessment, care planning and case management.
  • Strong communication, collaboration and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Sound knowledge of contemporary mental health practice, risk management and recovery-oriented care.

You'll stand out from the crowd if you have credentials and/or postgraduate qualifications in mental health nursing.
