You will apply expert clinical knowledge and evidence-based practice to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, ensuring safe, high-quality and woman and baby focused outcomes.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary maternity team, you will provide leadership, education and support to midwives, nurses and other healthcare staff, while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, portfolio management and the delivery of compassionate, culturally safe and responsive maternity services.

About you

  • Respond to complex and changing clinical situations, providing expert support, direction and clinical leadership to nursing, midwifery and support staff.
  • Educate and support women and their families, promoting informed decision-making, wellbeing and independence throughout their maternity journey.
  • Contribute to a positive learning culture through mentoring, education, professional development and participation in evidence-based practice initiatives.
  • Drive quality improvement activities that enhance safety, humanised maternity care and best practice outcomes for women, babies and families.
