The Susan and Alan Solomont School of Nursing (SSON) at the University of Massachusetts Lowell seeks a full-time, non-tenure track clinical faculty member who is a family nurse practitioner (FNP). This is an open rank position at either the assistant, associate, or full clinical professor rank based on experience in higher education. This position requires an on-campus presence. We seek applicants recognized for teaching expertise, clinical scholarship, ability to work with diverse populations, and excellent oral and written communication skills in English. This is a 9-month, full-time benefited position.

NCLEX-RN pass rates and NP certification exam pass rates consistently exceed 90%. The School's diverse research portfolio includes research in health disparities, correctional worker health, occupational health, pediatrics, and women's health.

Clinical faculty are expected to teach 9 credits per semester. Faculty in the School often teach across programs, including in the undergraduate and graduate programs. The SSON has two tracks in the nurse practitioner program, including family nurse practitioner and adult gerontologic primary care. Faculty also participate in the supervision of Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) projects. All faculty in the School are expected to engage in service to the School, College, and University, commensurate with rank.

We seek applicants recognized for clinical practice experience in primary care and outpatient ambulatory settings and experience working with diverse populations of patients and students. The candidate may be appointed at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level, depending upon qualifications.
