About the role

What your day could look like

As a Clinical Facilitator, you'll play a key role in strengthening clinical capability and supporting safe, high-quality care for patients across the service. From guiding nurses through learning and development opportunities to fostering excellence in clinical practice, you'll work with a supportive team to create positive outcomes for both staff and the community.

Every day, you'll contribute by:

  • Building confidence and capability in nursing staff through coaching, education and practical support.
  • Guiding competency development and helping clinicians deliver safe, evidence-informed care.
  • Partnering with leaders and multidisciplinary teams to strengthen clinical standards and patient outcomes.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance learning, quality and workforce development.

Let's talk about you!

You're someone who combines clinical expertise with a genuine passion for helping others grow. You lead with compassion, integrity and dignity, while bringing the courage to challenge thinking and the innovation to improve practice. You take pride in developing confident clinicians, knowing that stronger teams create better experiences for patients and families. You're not just supporting professional development; you're helping shape the future of healthcare in your community.

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting clinical learning, capability development or workplace education.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with a collaborative approach.
  • A commitment to evidence-based practice, quality improvement and patient-centred care.

You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience in clinical facilitation, mentoring or leadership roles and/or additional study in education, leadership or a relevant clinical specialty.

Above all, you'll bring the values we live by at Darling Downs Health: Compassion, Integrity, Dignity, Innovation and Courage.

Together, you'll help build a skilled workforce that delivers outstanding care for the communities we serve.
