About the role

About Us

OpenFX is on a mission to move money as freely as data, unrestricted by time zones, banking hours, or legacy systems. We are building the infrastructure that will power the next generation of cross-border payment systems for institutions. The team's execution has been exceptional, and we're scaling at a remarkable pace. Our stellar early team brings experience at companies such as J.P. Morgan, Goldman Sachs, FalconX, PayPal, Affirm, Polygon, Kraken, Nium, Visa, Mastercard & others. We’re backed by Accel, Lightspeed, M13, Northzone, Pantera, and other top-tier investors.

Role Overview

We are hiring for our APAC Client Success team - this role will own the retention and growth of our institutional clients across the region. As a core member of our APAC go-to-market team, you'll manage client relationships end-to-end, understand their needs, and work cross-functionally to deliver tailored solutions that drive their success, while ensuring OpenFX has the coverage required to grow its institutional book across APAC.

Key Responsibilities: Client Coverage & Engagement, Account Growth & Expansion, Driving Operational Excellence, AI-Powered Scale

  • Client Coverage & Engagement
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a growing portfolio of institutional clients across APAC.
  • Build and maintain account growth plans covering each client's business model, strategic priorities, and growth potential.
  • Drive proactive engagement across the book, ensuring every APAC client has a high-quality relationship with OpenFX.
  • Deeply understand each client's business to uncover opportunities and strengthen the relationship over time.
  • Account Growth & Expansion
  • Analyze client data to identify opportunities for volume growth and increased product adoption.
  • Develop and execute strategies that grow transaction volume by helping clients optimize their FX flows and deepen their activity on our platform.
  • Own the cross-sell pipeline independently, driving adoption for new currency pairs and products as they launch globally
  • Operational Excellence
  • Build and maintain a structured management framework for long tail accounts, ensuring consistent coverage and early identification of growth and retention risks.
  • Monitor client health metrics across the book, using data to identify risks and act proactively.
  • Coordinate with Product and Ops to resolve client issues promptly and channel structured feedback into product development.

AI-Powered Scale

  • Leverage AI as a core part of day to day tasks, automating routine workflows, deepening client insights, and creating capacity for higher-value client interactions.
  • Identify and implement AI-forward practices that raise the bar for how the Client Success team operates, setting a new gold standard for the function globally.

What we are looking for

  • Must-haves:
  • 3+ years of experience in fintech or financial services
  • 5+ years of total professional experience across account management, sales, consulting, and business operations
  • Proven ability to use data to understand client health, identify patterns, and surface risks and opportunities.
  • Advanced fluency with AI tools, applied as a core part of how you work.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a book of clients independently, with full ownership of outcomes.
  • What helps you stand out
  • Experience working in cross-border payment businesses such as remittance companies, PSPs, neobanks, or payment infrastructure companies.
  • Demonstrated understanding of FX markets and trading operations.
  • Background in B2B client success or sales with exposure to account management or sales cycles
  • Business-level Mandarin proficiency.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Equity in a rapidly growing company.
  • Opportunity to work in a fast-paced startup at the forefront of fintech innovation.
  • Opportunity to make a significant impact on global financial infrastructure
  • Collaborative work culture with emphasis on personal and professional growth.

We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
