About the role

About the role

Join Forensic Science Queensland (FSQ) and help support the delivery of critical forensic services that contribute to Queensland's criminal justice and coronial systems. As the Client Liaison Team Coordinator, you will lead a dedicated team responsible for managing client interactions, coordinating information requests and ensuring timely communication between forensic laboratories and key stakeholders.

This is a rewarding team leader opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing people management, stakeholder engagement and operational coordination in a fast-paced environment.

In this role you will

  • Lead, coach and support a team of Client Liaison Officers and administrative staff.
  • Coordinate client enquiries and information requests from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage and prioritise case-related requests to support forensic service delivery and court timeframes.
  • Oversee subpoena and information request processes, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with Queensland Police, the Department of Justice and other key partners.
  • Drive high-quality client service standards and promote continuous improvement across team processes.
  • Support staff development through training, onboarding and ongoing mentoring.
  • Review and maintain operational procedures to ensure compliance with legislative, quality and accreditation requirements.

About you

We're looking for a confident and capable leader who can foster a collaborative team culture while delivering exceptional client service.

You will bring

  • Experience leading or coordinating teams in a client-focused environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and achieve outcomes within tight timeframes.
  • Sound judgement, problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • A commitment to quality, continuous improvement and maintaining confidentiality.

Why join us?

At FSQ, you'll be part of a team whose work directly supports the administration of justice and community safety across Queensland. You'll work alongside dedicated professionals in a collaborative and supportive environment while contributing to meaningful outcomes for Queenslanders.

We offer

  • Flexible working arrangements where operational requirements permit.
  • Generous superannuation and leave entitlements.
  • Opportunities for professional development and career growth.
  • A supportive team culture that values respect, integrity and collaboration.
  • The opportunity to make a tangible impact through work that supports forensic and justice outcomes.

Please note that this is primarily an operational leadership position with responsibility for overseeing a frontline service function. While flexible working arrangements may be considered where operationally appropriate, regular on-site attendance is an inherent requirement of the role to ensure effective team leadership, stakeholder support and continuity of service delivery.

How to apply

Please refer to the Applicant Information Pack for detailed information about the role, employment conditions, suitability requirements and application process.
