  • Lead Agile, multi-disciplinary teams of 5-50+ Aerospace Engineers, Software Engineers, Mobile Developers, Human-Computer Interaction Engineers, and Cloud Engineers.
  • Lead technical strategy for the development of intuitive software applications that make complex data readily available and actionable for warfighters in high-stakes environments with care for effective user experiences (UX)
  • Manage program execution, ensuring schedule and budget adherence, and overseeing successful program delivery.
  • Act as a primary technical liaison with government customers and industry partners, translating their strategic needs into actionable, cutting-edge R&D programs.
  • Proactively identify and shape new opportunities, lead technical proposal efforts, and own the capture process to expand MORSE's impact and portfolio in Battle Management, Command and Control (C2), and Mission Planning.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance. Active Secret, Top Secret, or TS/SCI is preferred.
  • A master's degree or PhD in a relevant discipline (e.g., Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Physics) or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience leading technical teams, with a proven track record of designing and delivering complex, software-intensive systems for the defense or aerospace industry.
  • Deep, hands-on experience designing architectures for complex, real-time distributed systems, such as Command and Control (C2), mission planning, or large-scale situational awareness platforms. Strong domain knowledge in one or more of the following: sensor fusion, mission planning, electronic warfare, or air/space operations
  • Demonstrated understanding of underlying physical principles relevant to the domain (e.g., kinematics, sensor physics, RF propagation) and experience incorporating physical models into software systems.
  • Proven leadership in modern software development, including service-oriented architectures, event-driven systems, and building applications for real-time data visualization.
  • Proven leadership skills, with a track record of successfully managing high-performing technical teams.
  • Proven experience in business development and program capture within the DoD or IC, including leading technical volumes for proposals and shaping customer requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to absorb complex technical information quickly.
