About the role

WHY JOIN ALO?

Mindful movement. It’s at the core of why we do what we do at ALO—it’s our calling. Because mindful movement in the studio leads to better living. It changes who yogis are off the mat, making their lives and their communities better. That’s the real meaning of studio-to-street: taking the consciousness from practice on the mat and putting it into practice in life.

Overview

As the Buying & Merchandising AI Analyst, you will use AI analytics and automation to improve reporting and forecasting, support pricing analysis, and strengthen business execution. Working within a design-led company, you will translate data into actionable insights that support the product vision first and drive commercial performance.

Reporting into the Buying organization, you will support both Buying and Merchandising by bringing AI and automation into everyday workflows. You will work closely with users to understand their needs, identify manual and Excel-based processes that can be improved, and develop practical AI-powered tools and scalable solutions with guidance. You will also own recurring deliverables and support cross-functional initiatives, including international pricing, to improve efficiency, strengthen insights, and enable better decision-making.

At Alo, our in-office collaboration and culture is one of our greatest assets. We believe in being together to build strong team partnerships and cross-functional relationships. This position requires being full time in office.

Responsibilities

  • Automate recurring reporting and analysis with AI to reduce manual work and improve accuracy and timeliness.
  • Develop AI-enabled dashboards, tools, and workflows under guidance to deliver actionable insights.
  • Validate AI outputs against trusted data and business context, investigating discrepancies and applying human review.
  • Test and document approved AI tools, measuring productivity and quality while protecting company data.
  • Support international pricing analysis across market trends, competitive positioning, and margins.
  • Enhance pricing tools under guidance to improve reliability, usability, and opportunity assessment.
  • Analyze product and business performance for seasonal reviews, leadership discussions, and key initiatives.
  • Connect business and technical teams to clarify needs, resolve issues, and support timely delivery.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in analytics, pricing, buying, merchandising, or planning; retail or e-commerce experience preferred
  • Practical AI experience and sound judgment about capabilities, limitations, and responsible use
  • Advanced Excel, working knowledge of SQL, and experience with Tableau, Power BI, or comparable tools
  • Familiarity with Python, workflow automation, or application development preferred
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills, with an interest in pricing and retail performance
  • Highly detail-oriented, with strong data validation and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills across business and technical teams
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, ownership mindset, and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment

The base salary range for this position is $115,000-$120,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
