About the role

Diamond Foundry Inc. is solving the thermal limitation at the foundation of today's most exciting tech industries -- AI & cloud compute, electric-car power electronics, and 5G/6G wireless. We have managed to produce the world's first single-crystal diamond wafers and are now on a mission to put a diamond behind every chip. We are the rare unicorn that has grown fast and profitably. We received $515m in funding and are executing a multi-$B expansion plan for one of the greenest forms of tech manufacturing: converting greenhouse gas into diamond wafers using zero-emission energy.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Buyer to support our purchasing and supply chain activities. The successful candidate will assist with purchase orders, supplier communication, inventory monitoring, and order follow-up to ensure the timely availability of materials and services.

You will work closely with the Buyer, Warehouse Lead, and other departments to support daily purchasing operations, maintain accurate records, and contribute to the efficient management of inventory and purchasing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing and processing purchase orders (POs), ensuring accurate item descriptions, quantities, prices, and delivery dates.
  • Communicate with suppliers to request quotations, confirm orders, follow up on deliveries, and maintain good supplier relationships.
  • Monitor inventory levels in collaboration with the Warehouse Lead and coordinate the receipt, inspection, and recording of IT equipment and materials.
  • Track order status, report delays or discrepancies, and update purchasing and goods receipt information in the company's ERP/MRP system.
  • Support purchasing reports, supplier evaluations, price comparisons, cost analysis, and coordination with internal departments to meet their purchasing needs.

Requirements

  • Degree or education in Logistics, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, with at least 1 year of previous experience in purchasing or procurement.
  • Good communication, organizational, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build effective supplier relationships.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and ERP/MRP systems
  • Intermediate/Advanced Written and spoken English is required
