  • Play a key role in securing major project wins and driving business growth.

THE ROLE

At Duratec, we're looking for a Business Development Manager to help grow our business across NSW and the ACT. This isn't a role where you'll sit behind a desk updating CRMs and attending internal meetings all week.

We're looking for someone who enjoys getting in front of clients, building relationships, uncovering opportunities before they hit the market and helping turn those opportunities into real projects; someone who gets a genuine buzz from winning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Building relationships with existing and new clients
  • Identifying opportunities before they go to tender and proactively guiding them through the sales cycle to maximise successful outcomes for Duratec.
  • Working with operational teams to develop win strategies
  • Opening doors into new markets and clients
  • Helping clients understand how Duratec can solve their challenges
  • Supporting major pursuits and submissions
  • Represent Duratec across industry events, networks and customer meetings
  • Creating opportunities that turn into real revenue and long-term partnerships

ABOUT YOU

  • Business development experience within construction, infrastructure, defence, mining, energy or related sectors.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with a proven ability to develop and maintain client networks.
  • Commercially astute and capable of identifying opportunities before they go to market.
  • Driven by winning work and turning opportunities into long-term partnerships.
  • Confident communicator who can engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proactive, self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously in a client-facing role.
  • Established industry networks across NSW and/or ACT with the ability to open doors and create new business opportunities.

THE BENEFITS

  • Access to everyday discounts from Australia’s leading retailers with Flare, including Telstra Mobile discount
  • Company Car or Car Allowance
  • Performance based incentives
  • Novated lease options, through Flare and Paywise
  • A day paid community service leave, to give back to your community
  • Recognition and rewards, for employee referrals, photo of the month and safety innovation and leadership

Optional benefits to help you succeed:

  • Option to purchase up to two weeks of annual leave
  • Superannuation support, through Cbus Super
  • Salary sacrifice, to superannuation
  • Training and study assistance, for career development and professional qualifications

Looking after your wellbeing

  • 24/7 Employee Assistance Program, confidential advice line and information
  • First Aid and Mental First Aid Support Officers available
  • Paid parental leave
  • Dynamic working, where staff are empowered to have more control over their working hours and locations, in line with the needs of the individual, team, project and client
