About the role

About Clutch

We’re on a mission to reinvent the way people buy, sell, and own cars. Are you game?

Clutch is Canada’s largest online used car retailer, delivering a seamless, hassle-free car-buying experience to drivers everywhere. Customers can browse hundreds of cars from the comfort of their home, get the right one delivered to their door, and enjoy peace of mind with our 10‑Day Money‑Back Guarantee… and that’s just the beginning.

Named five years in a row to the Globe & Mail’s list of the Top Growing Companies in Canada and also awarded spots on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50™ and Fast 500™ lists, we’re looking to add curious, hard-working, and driven individuals to our growing team.

Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Toronto, Clutch currently operates in Alberta, British Columbia, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Ontario, and Prince Edward Island. Clutch is backed by world-class investors including D1 Capital Partners, Canaan, BrandProject, Real Ventures, Upper90, FJ Labs, Global Founders Capital, and Azure Capital Partners.

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Photographer to join our Production team! This role ensures all Clutch vehicles are photographed to the highest standards and accurately represented in our database. You will work closely with the reconditioning and logistics teams to ensure vehicles are shuttled, photographed, and uploaded efficiently.

What you’ll do

  • Handle company camera equipment to take high-quality interior and exterior vehicle photos
  • Inspect vehicles for cleanliness and identify any imperfections that fall outside Clutch’s standards
  • Shuttle vehicles between warehouses and outside lots as needed
  • Follow a standard shot list for each vehicle to maintain consistency, proper exposure, and composition
  • Edit and upload photos to the company’s administrative application (cropping, straightening, exposure)
  • Provide feedback to the team on process improvements and workflow optimization
  • Collaborate with reconditioning, detailing, and logistics teams to support vehicle readiness

What we’re looking for

  • Tech-savvy with familiarity in camera functions and basic photo editing
  • Interest in the automotive industry and comfort troubleshooting minor vehicle issues
  • Team player with people leadership or mentorship experience
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a get-it-done, action-oriented attitude
  • High attention to detail with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
  • Post-secondary education
  • Able to commit to a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, including overtime based on business needs.

It’d be great if you have

  • Previous automotive experience
  • Interest or experience in photography and photo editing
  • Experience with partner sites (AutoTrader, Kijiji, etc.)
  • Comfortable driving manual transmission

Why you’ll love it at Clutch

  • Autonomy & ownership – opportunity to build your process and influence the company workforce at every level
  • Help shape the future of car buying and selling in Canada by leading a critical part of our production workflow
  • Broad ownership over inventory photography and vehicle representation during a phase of rapid growth
  • Competitive compensation and top-of-market benefits
  • Above market health & dental coverage starting from day one

Employment Type

Existing, Permanent Full-Time

Compensation & Benefits

  • Wage: $20.00 per hour
  • Comprehensive healthcare, dental, vision, prescription, life insurance, and dependent coverage starting day one
  • Pay decisions reflect objective criteria: skills, performance, market benchmarking, responsibilities, and working conditions

Clutch is committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where all individuals have an opportunity to succeed. If you require accommodation at any stage of the interview process, please email talent@clutch.ca
