  • Develop and teach graduate-level online courses using Canvas.
  • Develop a research agenda and disseminate findings in academic publications, professional outlets, and academic and professional conferences.
  • Perform service duties for the program, the department, Boise State University, and other professional organizations.

College and Program overview

The newly formed College of Education and Public Service (COEPS) empowers new generations of problem-solvers through expertise in leadership, learning, and public service. Its faculty teach and engage in research in a variety of disciplines, including organizational development, instructional design, educational technology, leadership, and a variety of public service disciplines. COEPS faculty work with students at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, facilitate experiential learning, and participate as advisors and mentors to students in the college’s three doctoral programs.

The OPWL program, housed in the Educational Leadership, Research, and Technology (ELRT) department, serves a diverse student body worldwide by providing online Master’s degree and four graduate certificate programs (Workplace Instructional Design; Workplace eLearning Design and Development; Workplace Performance Improvement; and Organizational Development). The majority of OPWL students are professionals working in the fields of learning and development, instructional design, human resources development, e-learning, organizational development, and consulting.
