About the role

We are looking for an experienced Associate Director, Paid Media to help build P10’s media capabilities and deliver thoughtful, effective strategies for our clients. This is a hands-on leadership role. You will develop integrated media strategies, guide audience and investment decisions, and personally plan, launch, buy, optimize, and troubleshoot campaigns. You should be equally comfortable presenting recommendations to senior client stakeholders and working directly in a DSP or other media platform. You'll report to the Head of Analytics.

The ideal candidate has deep paid media expertise, a strong understanding of healthcare marketing, and particular strength in programmatic media. You will also help expand P10’s capabilities across endemic, EHR, point-of-care, and emerging channels.

This role is open to fully remote candidates in the United States. Travel will be required up to 5%.

Responsibilities

Media Strategy and Planning

  • Translate client objectives and audience insights into integrated media strategies, channel plans, budgets, forecasts, and learning agendas.
  • Develop plans across programmatic, endemic, EHR, point-of-care, paid social, paid search, video, audio, and emerging channels.
  • Build strategies that reach healthcare professionals, patients, caregivers, office staff, access stakeholders, and the broader care team.
  • Create clear recommendations that explain what P10 proposes, why it matters, and how the investment supports client objectives.
  • Partner with Client Services, strategy, creative, technology, and analytics to integrate media into broader client planning.

Activation and Optimization

  • Plan, build, launch, buy, optimize, and troubleshoot campaigns across DSPs and other paid media platforms.
  • Manage budgets, pacing, audience quality, frequency, inventory, creative performance, conversions, and other relevant indicators.
  • Lead optimization decisions across audiences, channels, partners, bids, budgets, placements, and creative.
  • Establish quality-control standards for campaign setup, tracking, launch, optimization, reporting, and billing.
  • Ensure campaigns meet platform, privacy, client, and regulated healthcare advertising requirements.
  • Translate results into clear recommendations that explain what happened, why it matters, and what should happen next.
  • Apply campaign findings to future audience, channel, creative, and investment decisions.

Client Growth and Capability Building

  • Serve as a trusted media advisor and present strategies, investment recommendations, performance findings, and future opportunities to clients.
  • Identify opportunities to expand media engagements within existing client relationships.
  • Lead or contribute media strategy to pitches, proposals, scopes, and capabilities presentations.
  • Help evolve P10’s DSP and broader healthcare media capabilities.
  • Evaluate programmatic, endemic, EHR, point-of-care, and emerging media partners.
  • Design pilots and turn successful approaches into repeatable P10 offerings.
  • Build scalable processes, tools, benchmarks, partner scorecards, and ways of working.
  • Mentor and provide strategic and technical guidance to team members as the practice grows.

Requirements

  • Healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical technology agency experience.
  • Recent experience building, launching, optimizing, and troubleshooting campaigns within DSPs and other paid media platforms.
  • Strong understanding of programmatic media, audience activation, inventory, bidding, optimization, brand safety, and frequency management.
  • Experience developing integrated media plans, budgets, forecasts, and client recommendations.
  • Working knowledge of paid social, paid search, video, audio, and other digital channels.
  • Ability to move comfortably between strategic client conversations and detailed platform execution.
  • Experience managing budgets, building client relationships, and contributing to business growth.
  • Strong communication, presentation, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Not an agency*

The layer-laden teams. The prehistoric processes. The impersonal, ego-driven dog-and-pony shows. Take what you think you know about agencies and burn it. P10 was born of the idea that if something isn’t working—or could work better—change it. And that’s exactly what we did. We know that what we’re not makes us who we are. And we’re not just another agency. We are people driven by a palpable passion and purpose, felt by our clients from the very first conversation.

P10 brings together a team of diverse, remote-only seasoned professionals to deliver exceptional value for our clients. Dare to do something different - join us.

We provide base salary, discretionary bonus and benefits to our employees.
