Position Overview

The Associate Buyer, Digital Commerce (D2C) will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and profitability of Stanley’s direct-to-consumer website. In this role, you will support the buying and merchandising strategy by managing inventory, analyzing sales performance, and ensuring seamless product launches online. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including Marketing, Creative, Digital Product, and Supply Chain—to ensure our online product assortment aligns with the brand vision and delivers an exceptional shopping experience.

This position is hybrid, with 3 days per week onsite in our Seattle headquarters.

What You'll Do

  • Assortment & Strategy Support: Assist the Senior Buyer in developing and executing seasonal merchandise strategies tailored to the digital shopper.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and sell-through rates. Partner with planning and allocation teams to manage reorders, handle inventory transfers, and mitigate out-of-stock scenarios for high-demand items.
  • Digital Merchandising & Product Launches: Coordinate with the e-commerce operations team to ensure products are accurately set up, categorized, and visually merchandised on the site. Ensure timely digital execution for product drops and marketing campaigns.
  • Market & Competitor Research: Actively monitor industry trends, competitor product offerings, and digital shopping behaviors to make data-backed recommendations for new product opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a key liaison between the buying team and creative/marketing teams to ensure product stories are accurately told across email, social, and web channels.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1–3 years of experience in retail buying, digital merchandising, or e-commerce planning.
  • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and data analysis. Experience with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) is a strong plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where product trends and digital demand shift quickly.
  • Exceptional organization skills with the ability to manage multiple product launch timelines simultaneously without sacrificing accuracy.
  • A strong understanding of the Stanley 1913 brand, consumer base, and the lifestyle/outdoor retail market.
