About the role
Essential Anesthesia Management looking for an Anesthesiologist to join the team at Christus Santa Rosa Westover Hills Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.
Position Highlights
- $590,000 (1099) + 9 weeks off a year
- Schedule is 7a-3p Monday - Friday; about 10 weekend call shifts per year
- Anesthesia Team: Our team is a collaborative group of 3 Anesthesiologists and 15 CRNAs.
- Weekend Call:
- MDs take primary OR call and backup OB call.
- 1 MD and 1 CRNA are on call for OR on weekends.
- Additional CRNA from 7a-3p on Saturdays to assist with cases.
- On average, 6 rooms covered per day with 6 CRNAS, 2 MDs and a float CRNA (floats between the OR or OB).
- Case types: include general surgery, orthopedic, GI, urology, ENT, spine, ophthalmology, OB/GYN, Neuro, and pain management.
- OB is primarily covered in-house by a dedicated team of CRNAs that rotate on 24-hour shifts.
- Most of the anesthetics at Westover Hills are on adult patients.
- No trauma, transplant, or CV coverage required.

Qualifications
- Board Eligible or Board Certified
- Proficiency in regional blocks and peripheral nerve blocks.
