  • Agile Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, QA, Backend) to define technical specs, break down stories, and deliver end-to-end features.
  • Architecture & Clean Code: Implement scalable UI components and business logic using Unidirectional Data Flow (MVI/MVVM) and Clean Architecture principles.
  • Quality & Performance: Write robust unit and UI tests, analyze app performance, fix memory leaks, and optimize app startup time and frame rates.
  • Engineering Standards: Actively participate in code reviews, enforce codebase consistency, and contribute to continuous integration (CI/CD) and automated release pipelines.
  • AI-Enhanced Development: Leverage modern AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate development, improve test coverage, and streamline code maintenance.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of professional experience in Android app development.
  • Kotlin Expertise: Advanced knowledge of Kotlin language features, idioms, and functional programming concepts.
  • Modern UI Development: Strong hands-on experience building declarative user interfaces using Jetpack Compose and custom state management.
  • Asynchronous Programming: Strong experience with Kotlin Coroutines and Flow for async workflows and reactive data streaming.
  • Architecture & Dependency Injection: Deep understanding of modern Android architecture patterns (MVVM/MVI, Clean Architecture) and DI frameworks like Hilt / Dagger.
  • Data Storage & Networking: Experience integrating RESTful APIs (Retrofit, Ktor) and building offline-first local data layers using Room / DataStore.
  • AI-Driven Productivity: Experience leveraging AI developer tools (Copilot, Gemini Code Assist, Claude, etc.) to increase personal throughput and assist in refactoring/testing.
  • Good English communication skills (written and spoken) for daily team interaction and documentation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred/Nice to have

  • Release Management: Familiarity with Google Play Console publishing, Play Store policies, and CI/CD tools (e.g., Bitrise, GitHub Actions, Docker, or Bamboo).
  • Legacy Interoperability: Experience migrating legacy XML layouts / View-based views to Jetpack Compose.
  • Build Systems & Modularization: Familiarity with Gradle build configurations, multi-module project structures, and dependency management.
  • Performance & Profiling: Experience using Android Studio Profiler, evaluating app energy/memory impact, and applying R8 / ProGuard optimizations.
  • Cross-Platform Awareness: Exposure to Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP), iOS/Swift or hybrid systems.
  • Security Practices: Familiarity with mobile app security standards (EncryptedSharedPreferences,

Keystore system, biometrics, code obfuscation).
