About the role

What your day could look like

As Allied Health Lead - Clinical Informatics, you'll help shape how digital tools support better care across hospitals, community services and rural settings. From improving clinical workflows to guiding digital transformation, you'll work with passionate professionals to create safer, more efficient and person-centred healthcare experiences.

Every day, you'll contribute by:

  • Leading the design and improvement of digital solutions that enhance clinical practice, safety and service quality.
  • Partnering with clinicians, operational leaders and digital teams to turn frontline needs into practical outcomes.
  • Building workforce capability through coaching, education and support that strengthens confidence in digital systems.
  • Driving innovation, change and continuous improvement projects that deliver measurable benefits for patients, consumers and staff.

Let's Talk About You

You're someone who sees opportunities where others see complexity. You combine strong clinical knowledge with a passion for digital innovation, bringing people together to improve the way care is delivered. You lead with compassion, integrity and courage, create trust through collaboration, and value dignity in every interaction. You'll take pride in helping clinicians work smarter, supporting better experiences for patients and shaping improvements that have a lasting impact across the health service.

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:

  • Tertiary qualifications in an allied health profession, with current registration or professional membership where required.
  • Strong experience in clinical informatics, digital health, service improvement or leading technology-enabled change.
  • Advanced communication, stakeholder engagement and change management skills.
  • A collaborative leadership style with the ability to mentor, influence and drive positive outcomes.

You'll stand out from the crowd if you have postgraduate qualifications in clinical informatics, digital health, health management, clinical education or a related field, and/or experience leading digital initiatives across large or geographically dispersed health services.

Most importantly, you'll be passionate about improving healthcare through innovation while living the values of Compassion, Integrity, Dignity, Innovation and Courage.
