About the role

Our Mission

Rebuild how the world works, to make institutions work better for the people they serve.

About Brain Co.

Brain Co. builds AI-native operating systems for large, regulated institutions. Each system is built for a specific industry, powered by agents that push real workflows forward. Underneath it all is Atlas, our proprietary platform that keeps customers in control, secure by design, and never locked into one model.

Why Now

Brain Co. is entering its next phase of production deployments on a national scale with an elite team built from Palantir, Google, Meta, and Nvidia, and a growing footprint across government, insurance, health, and financial services.

Joining now means shaping both the company and a new category of applied AI. Every project here ships to production and is expected to create measurable customer value and impact.

You'll work alongside exceptional peers on some of the hardest problems in applied AI. It’s the kind of work you'll still be proud of in ten years from now.

About the Role

As an AI Product Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams and leaders to design, build, and deploy AI-powered software that solves real-world problems. This is a highly hands-on role with ownership across the full product lifecycle, from understanding customer needs to shipping production-grade AI applications.

You’ll contribute directly to live projects used by governments, healthcare systems, and industrial partners, turning cutting-edge AI into reliable, scalable products.

In This Role, You Will

Build & Ship Real Products: Design and develop AI-powered features across front-end, back-end, and data workflows. Prototype and ship internal tools and customer-facing applications using modern web technologies

Translate Problems into Products: Work with product managers and other engineers to turn customer problems into clear product requirements and integrate AI models into real-world software systems

Optimize & Improve: Improve the performance, reliability, and usability of deployed applications. Analyze data, evaluate AI outputs, and iterate based on real customer feedback

Make a Real Impact: Own work that modernizes government workflows, improves healthcare outcomes, or optimizes critical infrastructure. See your work deployed and used by real users—not just internal demos

You Will Thrive If You

  • Expect to complete a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field in Spring 2027.
  • Have strong software development fundamentals demonstrated through internships, research, substantial coursework, or personal projects.
  • Can build software using several of Python, TypeScript, React, REST APIs, SQL, and cloud platforms
  • Understand the fundamentals of AI systems and product thinking, and are excited by real-world machine learning applications
  • Enjoy solving ambiguous problems and learning quickly in fast-paced environments
  • Communicate clearly, collaborate well, and take ownership of your work
  • Are excited to work directly on impactful problems rather than purely theoretical projects

Job Details & Benefits

  • Eligibility: Completing a bachelor’s degree in Spring 2027.
  • Competitive full-time compensation and benefits
  • Support and feedback from experienced engineers, researchers, and product leaders
  • Opportunity to work on real production systems used globally
  • Meaningful ownership from day one, with room to grow alongside the team
  • Daily lunches (if onsite)

Compensation

We pay competitively for every role and back that with meaningful equity, because we want the people building Brain Co. to genuinely share in what we build together. Beyond salary and equity, we invest in country-specific benefits because we want our team to feel taken care of, not only compensated.

The annual base salary range for this role is $140,000 - $190,000. We publish this range for every role, as a matter of policy regardless of whether local law requires it. Actual pay will depend on skills, scope, and experience.
