The Expert engineer advises senior center leadership, coordinates cross-functional enterprise workflows, and designs corporate-level MBSE governance frameworks to ensure consistency across the Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC).

Core Responsibilities

  • Strategic Architecture & Integration: Architect-level lead providing systems engineering oversight and technical recommendations on system performance, feasibility, and program alignment to pioneer dynamic, model-centric intelligence workflows.
  • Enterprise Governance Policy Creation: Leads the drafting, reviewing, and formal proposing of enterprise governance policies, data standards, and best practices for model-based analytic processes. Establishes standard enterprise taxonomies with a heavy emphasis on MBSE-based workflows.
  • Deliverable Accountability: Authors, reviews, and delivers the formal monthly MBSE Performance and Feasibility Assessment Report and the MBSE Governance Posture Report directly to the Chief Modeling and Simulation Officer.
  • Strategic Communications & Advocacy: Directs high-level technology scouting and strategic communications. Facilitates cross-functional enterprise coordination across mission partners to ensure modernized simulation workflows meet long-range mission objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree and 18 years of experience OR a Master’s degree and 15 years of experience in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Digital Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Technical Expertise: Expert-level mastery utilizing MBSE and SysML software suites (e.g., Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw) to build complex enterprise system models independent of supervisory guidance. Deep background in aerospace/defense simulation workflows, ontology design, and technical risk assessment.
  • Clearance & Compliance: Active TS/SCI security clearance for 100% on-site support at Wright-Patterson AFB. Proven history driving policy interpretation and enterprise standard implementation.

Desired

  • NASIC Experience: NASIC experience highly desired, not mandatory.
