An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Audiologist to join the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital Audiology Service as an Advanced Audiologist. In this specialist role, you will provide advanced clinical leadership and deliver high-quality adult audiology services, independently managing highly complex and diverse caseloads across advanced diagnostic services, vestibular assessment and cochlear implant programs.

Working closely with the Audiology Team Leader, you will provide expert clinical consultancy, strategic oversight and leadership to support contemporary audiology practice. You will play a key role in service development, quality improvement, clinical education, workforce capability and research initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and contribute to the advancement of adult audiology services across Metro North Health and Queensland.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Independently deliver specialised audiology services for highly complex adult patients, with a focus on advanced diagnostic, vestibular and cochlear implant services.
  • Provide clinical leadership by developing, implementing and standardising evidence-based audiology protocols, procedures and models of care.
  • Act as the clinical reference point for audiologists, multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders in the management of complex audiology presentations.
  • Lead education, supervision and professional development activities for audiologists, students and clinical support staff to strengthen workforce capability.
  • Drive service improvement, innovation and research initiatives that enhance clinical practice, digital health solutions and patient outcomes.

Benefits when working for us

  • Rewarding career and development opportunities across a wide range of clinical and non-clinical areas
  • Value driven organisation which provides a work environment that is safe, satisfying, flexible, and promotes a healthy work-life balance
  • Flexible working arrangements and competitive salary rates with annual incremental increases
  • Benefit from a higher than standard employer contribution to Superannuation of up to 12.75% and access to salary packaging

Metro North Health offers a dynamic and progressive environment at the forefront of healthcare, research, and education. With a strong commitment to inclusion, flexibility, and professional development, we provide meaningful opportunities in a workplace that puts people first.
