About the role

Money stress is the biggest productivity killer in the workplace - My Money Matters exists to change that. We're building an app that improves employees' finances automatically every pay day - giving them financial tools that directly improve their financial health with less effort.

Every pay day is an opportunity to build better money habits. We make it easy. Employees can accelerate retirement savings with tax-efficient pension top-ups, build a safety net effortlessly with auto savings, or access their already-earned salary ahead of pay day for emergencies.

For employers, fewer employees with money worries means more focus on work. We're trusted by major organisations including the NHS, and we're growing fast.

The role

We're growing our commercial team and looking for an experienced new business salesperson who knows how to generate their own pipeline, engage senior stakeholders and close complex B2B deals.

You'll own the full sales cycle, initially focusing on public sector organisations across local government, the NHS and education. Joining at an exciting stage of growth, you'll help expand our financial wellbeing proposition and play a key role in driving new customer acquisition.

This is an opportunity for someone who thrives on winning new business, operates independently and wants to make a tangible commercial impact.

What you’ll be doing

  • Generate new business: Build and manage your own pipeline through targeted prospecting, account research, outreach and relationship development.
  • Lead the sales cycle: Run discovery, deliver tailored presentations, build compelling business cases and negotiate contracts through to close.
  • Navigate complex deals: Engage multiple stakeholders and manage procurement processes, objections and longer sales cycles.
  • Own commercial performance: Deliver against revenue targets, maintain accurate pipeline data and forecast reliably in HubSpot.
  • Develop our market approach: Share customer insight with Marketing and Product to help refine our proposition and sales strategy.
  • Drive successful handovers: Work with Customer Success and Onboarding to ensure a smooth transition from sale to implementation.
  • Build market presence: Represent MMM at relevant conferences, employer forums and industry events to develop relationships and generate opportunities.

Skills & Experience

  • A demonstrable track record of sourcing and closing new B2B business, with specific examples of deals you've personally won.
  • Experience owning the full sales cycle and consistently working towards individual revenue targets.
  • Strong prospecting, discovery, negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to build relationships across complex buying groups.
  • Commercial judgement, resilience and the ability to maintain momentum through longer sales cycles.
  • Strong pipeline management and forecasting discipline.

Preferential experience

  • Experience selling into the public sector and an understanding of procurement frameworks and budget cycles.
  • Experience selling SaaS, payroll, HR technology, employee benefits, financial wellbeing or other consultative B2B solutions.
  • Experience using HubSpot or a comparable CRM.
  • Experience developing a proposition or establishing a new market.

You don't need experience in financial wellbeing specifically. We're interested in strong sales performers who can learn a new proposition and turn opportunities into revenue.

Stage 3 | Practical Exercise – A practical exercise designed to give you the opportunity to demonstrate how you would approach some of the key areas of the role.
